New Zealand coal producer Pike River Coal (ASX: PRC) has replied to the NZX regarding an increase in the price of the company's shares by NZ$0.14 (14.74%) since commencement of trading on Wednesday 7 April 2010, to close at NZ$1.09.
Pike River said it is not aware of any material information concerning it that has not been announced which, if known, could be an explanation for recent trading in the securities of the company.
The company has confirmed that it is in compliance with the listing rules and, in particular, listing rule 10.1.1.
