Arian Silver hires new CFO ahead of ‘pivotal’ period

Arian Silver (LON:AGQ, CVE:AGQ) has appointed John Mayfield as its new chief financial officer starting today as the company enters what it is calling a crucial period.
The Mexican silver exploration and production company said Mayfield, who is fluent in Spanish, is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Mayfield, who will not take a seat on the board, has over 20 years’ experience in senior financial leadership, including roles in Mexico and Latin America.
“I am delighted to welcome John to the company,” said Jim Williams, Arian’s chief executive.
“His experience in Mexico will be particularly valuable as Arian enters a new pivotal stage of its development with its plans to transform into a larger scale producer.”
The CEO thanked outgoing finance chief Sam Clarke for his work with Arian.
Clarke is leaving to relocate overseas but will be helping with the transition phase to ensure continuity.
