Gold producer, Wesdome Gold Mines (TSX:WDO) confirmed this morning that drilling had commenced at the Dubuisson discovery, which is located just three kilometres from its Kiena Gold Mine in Val d’Or, Quebec, Canada.
Wesdome is planning to drill approximately 25,000 metres during the current season which runs from June to November. During last year’s drill campaign, Wesdome completed six, 100 meter spaced holes which returned numerous gold intercepts, including 4.45 grams per tonne over 5.1 meters and 6.82 grams per tonne over 7.7 meters. This season’s drilling is intended to further define the continuity and geometry of the discovery through a 50 meter spaced infill drilling campaign to depths above 400 metres.
Wesdome has already traced the system over 500 metres.
