Soil Sub Technologies raw material results pending from Nutrimix trial process

Soil Sub Technologies (ASX: SOI) has some results pending from the third party laboratory testing for fertilisers, with 24 plots assimilated with various combinations of raw material at site.

The trialling process is for Nutrimix, with the objective of arriving at a new formulation for the Nutrimix line of products.

The new formulation of Nutrimix focuses on two important factors:

1. The nutrient profile of the product, for example, whether it is suitable as a soil supplement or a fertiliser; and

2. Cost and accessibility to a consistent source of the raw material(s) which contributes to the repeatability of the new product(s) under a range of conditions.

Soil Sub said over the course of the trials the company focussed more on the fertiliser market due to the generally higher profit margins associated with this end product.

Upon completion of the laboratory testing of each plot - and depending on the results - performance trials will be established to verify the product’s performance and its suitability for commercial and home use.

The performance trials will likely be a selection of 3 to 4 composted plots used in a variety of environments such as agricultural farms, golf courses and local council areas.

Soil Sub said if the results of these performance trials in these environments yield positive results, then the company will look at establishing larger farm trials in a controlled environment.

This phase will incorporate a variety of plant types and soil types to assess the product performance and its suitability for commercial development.
