YTC Resources (ASX: YTC) continues to deliver a strong news flow of high grade copper hits from the Nymagee project, with the latest results no exception.
The high grade highlights include; 10 metres at 6.7% copper from 15 metres, 10 metres at 4.3% copper from 102 metres, and 17 metres at 2.1% copper from 149 metres.
Adding another string to the results bow is some very broad intersections which will add to the tonnage, including; 31 metres at 1.0% copper from 72 metres, 41 metres at 0.9% copper from 71 metres, and 14 metres at 1.9% copper.
A final interesting aspect is gold has been intersected for the first time at Nymagee, which included 2 metres at 3.47 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 1.0% copper from 5 metres.
Rimas Kairaitis, chief executive officer, spoke to Proactive Investors today about the significance of the latest results, and commented:
"Today’s drill results have essentially underwritten the concept of an open-pittable copper deposit at Nymagee, which is envisaged to be the first stage of a mining operation prior to commencement of underground mining.
"It is great news for the Nymagee Project and ultimately the combination of the Hera and Nymagee Projects."
An extensive drilling program testing the shallow copper mineralisation at Nymagee continues with further results extending the known zones of copper mineralisation.
Deep Drilling - Update
In other YTC news, the company has completed the second deep diamond drill hole beneath the historic Nymagee mine.
The company said visual logging estimates of the hole intersected a broad zone of around 100 metres of copper mineralisation (<0.5% copper) from around a 450 metre down hole.
The deep drilling program is scheduled to continue for the next few months following which the company anticipates to have a strong understanding of the scale and extent of the Nymagee mineralisation at depth.
The third deep hole is now underway at around 250 metres, testing 50 metres north of the first deep hole.
