Atlanta Gold intersects up to 50.7 g/t gold at Atlanta property in Idaho

Atlanta Gold (TSE:ATG) announced Thursday it received assay results including 50.7 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from ongoing shallow confirmation drilling on the East Extension and Monarch areas of its Atlanta property in Idaho.

To date, over 10,973 metres have been drilled as part of the company's 18,300-metre drill program. The campaign, which began in June 2011, is focused on the Atlanta Shear zone, which has an expression extending from surface to a known vertical depth of 610 metres.

Results from the assays of these found 50.743 g/t gold and 41.314 g/t silver over 0.9 metres, including 1.5 metres at 11.369 g/t gold, in hole D11105E19.

Hole D11206E01 returned 1.3 metres at 3.326 g/t gold and 0.411 g/t silver, while holes D11106E14 returned 1.1 metres at 3.943 g/t gold and 0.514 g/t silver, and D11106E18 found 5.760 g/t gold and 0.309 g/t silver over 0.6 metres.

Out of hole D11093E12, assays returned 3.0 metres grading 3.634 g/t gold and 57.360 g/t silver, including 1.5 metres of 6.815 g/t gold. Meanwhile, D11074E22 found 1.5 metres grading 11.074 g/t gold and 0.079 g/t silver.

Assays from hole D11042W03 returned 9.1 metres at 5.088 g/t gold and 4.766 g/t silver, including 1.5 metres at 21.795 g/t gold, and including 1.5 metres at 15.227 g/t gold.

Hole D11036W11 returned 4.9 metres grading 5.280 g/t gold and 3.771 g/t silver, including three intervals measuring 1.5 metres and intersecting 4.921 g/t gold, 5.769 g/t gold, and 6.478 g/t gold, respectively.

Intersections from hole D11015W25 found 2.9 metres at 8.606 g/t gold and 12.446 g/t silver, including 1.5 metres at 21.141 g/t gold and 12.636 g/t gold over another 1.5 metres.
