Home entertainment provider Digital Shelf Space (CVE:DSS) said on Thursday that its GSP Rushfit home workout DVD series featuring mixed martial arts (MMA) champion Georges St-Pierre will be available at Zellers retail stores this fall.
The fitness workout series, designed to appeal to a demographic interested in MMA and its training methods, aims to give both an efficient and effective workout at home with minimal equipment.
The video, which launched December last year, is an eight-week home-based DVD workout program staring mixed martial arts welterweight world champion Georges St-Pierre.
Digital Shelf said the program uses many mixed martial arts conditioning exercises, intense circuit style training and body weight training for fitness consumers to build muscle, cut weight and get in shape.
In a statement, Digital Shelf Space’s Chief Executive Jeffrey Sharpe said: “We are pleased that Zellers, currently with 273 stores across Canada, has chosen our GSP Rushfit workout series. Our distribution channels and opportunities are being expanded with our partner Northern Response at a pace that is very exciting for the company."
Two days ago, the home entertainment provider announced that its workout series would also be available for retail at Sears Canada this fall.
Digital Shelf Space, producer and online distributor to digital retailers and content owners, sells digital downloads and streaming video formats online.
The Vancouver-based company’s stock was up 2.86% to trade at 18 cents Thursday afternoon on the TSX Venture Exchange.
