Celamin Holdings (ASX: CNL) has received initial results from a trenching and drilling program at the Chaketma Exploration Permit in Northern Tunisia, which has the potential to host 150-200 million tonnes of phosphate at grades of 17%-22%.
Results received to date include 33.6 metres at 20.9% phosphate with an average sample thickness of 2.5 metres, 31.7 metres at 18.3% phosphate with an average sample thickness of 2.6 metres and 21.2 metres at 20.6% phosphate at an average sample thickness of 4.2 metres.
Chaketma is held in a 50:50 joint venture with Tunisian Mining Services SARL (TMS).
Celamin and TMS have planned a 12 hole, 1,000 metres diamond core drilling program and a 600 metre trenching program that is currently underway.
The drilling will focus on the Gasaa El Kebira prospect, which covers 2 square kilometres.
Following the current drilling program, further work will be undertaken to test the potential to process this material to a saleable product.
