Energio: Dr Ian Burston takes the chairman's seat

Energio (ASX: EIO) has appointed Dr Ian Burston as chairman following the retirement of Nathan Taylor from the position.

Taylor will remain on as a non-executive director.

Energio said the appointment of Burston as chairman with his extensive experience in the resource sector reflects the change in the nature of the company’s business.

Burston has developed several multi-million tonne per year mining and export operations, and serves on the board of Fortescue Metals Group, Cape Lambert Iron Ore and African Iron.

The board is considering further appointments in the near future that will assist with the company's growth and development.

Energio’s board now comprises:

- Dr Ian Burston (Chairman)
- Mr Nathan Taylor (Non executive director)
- Mr Don Carroll (Non executive director)
- Mr Athan Lekkas (Non executive director)
- Mr Kevin Joseph (Non executive director)
