Aphrodite Gold (ASX: AQQ) has gone into voluntary suspension today, two days after requesting a trading halt, pending an announcement relating to a material fund raising program.
The company originally requested a two day trading halt on January 10, giving the same reason as today’s request.
It has not revealed the nature of the announcement, but did say that it would advise the market once all details of the fundraising program have been finalised.
In November the company announced it would seek shareholder approval at its Annual General Meeting to place up to a further 50 million Shares and 50 million options.
Aphrodite has requested that the voluntary suspension continue until the earlier of an announcement being released or the commencement of trading on Wednesday January 18,2012.
