Implant Sciences announces new sales of explosives detectors to Nigeria

Implant Sciences Corp (OTCQB: IMSC) announced today new sales of its explosives trace detection systems in Nigeria for aviation security.
The supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security and defense markets said the latest shipment is to ASL Airlines Services in Lagos, and the sale was made through A.C. Belgrave, an in-country distributor for Implant Sciences' products.
ASL Airlines Services provides catering and hospitality services to international airlines and airports in Nigeria and will use Implant's QS-H150 explosives trace detectors to execute security search initiatives such as screening food and beverage service carts.
The airline services company caters 700 flight handlings per month for airlines including British Airways, Delta, Lufthansa, Air France and others.
"We are penetrating international markets by working with local distributors like A.C. Belgrave who know their market, have the requisite relationships with decision makers, and are executing on presenting the superiority of our products for designated applications," said Implant's president and CEO, Glenn D. Bolduc.
"We've been anticipating increased demand for our Quantum Sniffers in Nigeria and throughout Africa. This sale affirms we are building traction and we expect this trend to continue."
The company has developed proprietary technologies used in its commercial explosive and narcotics trace detection systems, which ship to a growing number of locations around the world.
Implant's QS-H150 portable explosives trace detector has received Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology Designation, and the company's other main product QS-B220 benchtop explosives and narcotics trace detector has received a Developmental Testing & Evaluation (DT&E) Designation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Last week, the Massachusetts-based company announced that an unnamed Head of State in the Middle East has chosen its explosives trace detectors for protection. It sold its Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detectors into the Middle East for VIP protection.
