Consegna Group (ASX: CGP) substantial shareholder Balam Global has increased its shareholding to 11.69% after acquiring an additional 15.7 million shares on market.
Balam purchased 3.9 million shares for a consideration of US$152,125 (A$147,413) on 30 December 2011 and a further 11.7 million shares for a consideration of US$630,859.81 on 6 January 2012.
Consegna recently received a price and volume query from the ASX over a 57% share price jump to a high of A$0.052 on 5 January, up from a close of $0.033 on Friday 30 December 2011.
At the time Consegna made mention of the fact its products have received “significant print and television media attention over the previous weeks”.
In December, Consegna Group announced the closing of the purchase of Aspen Medisys, LLC. Aspen's portfolio includes a nanoparticle magnetic thermotherapy technology platform for the treatment of solid tumours.
Prior to that, in late November, Consegna announced it was ready to start negotiating licences for the commercialisation of its BreatheAssist device.
