Energy Ventures (ASX: EVE) chairman Alasdair Cooke now holds 9.5 million shares in the company after a recent on market share purchase.
Cooke acquired a further 286,633 shares for a consideration of $8,936, providing an average entry price of $0.03 per share.
In the December quarter last year Energy Ventures further boosted the potential for an open pit operation at the Aurora uranium project in southeast Oregon, U.S., with another positive round of drilling results.
Highlights from the higher grade parts of the resource include 40.2 metres at 347 parts per million U3O8 from 69 metres, including 18.3 metres at 516 parts per million U3O8.
The company has an overall resource base of 38 million pounds of U3O8.
