Promesa (ASX: PRA) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX pending an announcement on results from its current exploration program, with the company's shares placed in pre-open.
Promesa has not yet elaborated any further on the results, but last month the company sent the remaining samples from exploration at the Cerro Curunday Project in Peru to a second laboratory - to speed up receiving results.
The company has diamond drilled almost 2300 metres over 9 drill holes so far at Cerro Curunday, with the work designed to test a series of gold bearing zones identified by channel and rock chip sampling along a 2.1 kilometre strike.
The halt will last until the earlier of the announcement being made to the market, or the opening of trade on Tuesday 21 February.
