Gold Resource Corporation (OTCBB: GORO) reported continued high-grade gold and silver mineralization from step-out drilling at the La Arista deposit at its El Aguila project in Mexico’s Oaxaca state.
Drilling continues to expand the deposit as it remains open at both strike and depth.
Latest intercepts include 0.75 meters of 31.70 grams per ton of gold, 2,920 g/t silver, 0.11 percent copper, 1.74 percent lead and 3.49 percent zinc at Hole 109003 as well as 7 meters of 4.23 g/t gold, 324 g/t silver, 0.65 percent copper, 1.69 percent lead and 5.22 percent zinc at Hole 108044.
GRC targets production at its El Aguila in 2009, subject to obtaining the remaining permits, regulatory approvals, equipment deliveries and construction schedules.
The Arista deposit vein system appears to be a series of parallel veins, including the Arista vein, the Baja vein and additional parallel veins. This high-grade system now extends over 585 meters of strike length and 400 meters of vertical extent.
Hole 109003 expands the La Arista vein system approximately 85 meters to the south east from the previously drilled high-grade intercepts in Hole 108042 and Hole 109001.
