Digital Shelf Space’s GSP RUSHFIT grabs top spot on Amazon.com's Exercise and Fitness list

Digital Shelf Space Corp. (CVE:DSS) said Thursday that its GSP RUSHFIT DVD series reached the No. 1 spot on Amazon.com’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) exercise and fitness top rated product list earlier this week.

The company’s home workout GSP RUSHFIT series, which features Mixed Martial Arts welterweight world champion George St-Pierre, has been listed on Amazon.com for less than six months.

The top 100 Amazon.com ratings list is based on Amazon.com customer rating feedback scores, and GSP RUSHFIT has achieved a perfect five star rating from 97 percent of the customers that have reviewed it.

"Our continued success selling GSP RUSHFIT at Amazon.com and the response from Amazon customers has been outstanding, and provides further validation for us that GSP RUSHFIT could become a breakout hit in the home fitness market," Digital Shelf Sp ace's President and CEO Jeffrey Sharpe said.

"We are focused on raising the marketing dollars necessary to ensure that the Company is capable of capitalizing on the early success of GSP RUSHFIT."

Getting the top spot puts the GSP RUSHFIT DVD ahead of such industry heavyweights as the Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation System and Beachbody's P90X2.

The fitness series is available in more than 90 countries around the world, through Digital Shelf Space’s global distribution agreement with Northern Response.

In Canada, the series is carried by major retailers such as Sears Canada (TSE:SCC), Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT), Future Shop, National Sports, Sport Check, Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) and Canadian Tire (TSE:CTC), and in the U.S. by The Sports Authority and Academy Sports and Outdoors.

In December 2011, Digital Shelf Space announced a new long-term licence agreement with Georges St-Pierre for potential future fitness products and services under the RUSHFIT moniker.

Digital Shelf Space is an independent creator, producer and distributor of home entertainment content targeted at the fitness and sports instruction market.
