NQ Exploration (CVE:NQE) announced Tuesday the appointment of Vittorio Violo to the company's board of directors.
Violo will replace Christian Perrier as a member of the Audit Committee as Perrier departs from his role as director.
Violo is currently a director of Odesia Group Inc., as well as COO of PNS-TECH Inc., a Quebec-based manufacturer.
He serves on several strategic management committees of Sigma
Industries, a publicly-traded company on the TSX Venture Exchange, and
has eight years experience as an investment advisor in Canadian capital
markets.
NQ announced at the end of April that it had closed a non-brokered private placement for a total of $100,000.
The placement consisted of 1.54 million share units priced at 6.5
cents per unit. Proceeds were used for working capital purposes.
Earlier in April, NQ said it agreed to sell its interest in the Star
Lake property in the James Bay area of Quebec to Minerva Financial Corp
in a $200,000 deal.
The property, which is located 120 kilometres southeast of the town
of Radisson, consists of 89 contiguous map-designated claims that cover a
total area of 46 square kilometres.
NQ Exploration is a mining exploration company with a portfolio of seven mining properties in the Abitibi region of Quebec.
