Sage Group PLC (LON:SGE) said Guy Berruyer, currently chief executive officer of Sage's Mainland Europe & Asia operations, will succeed Paul Walker as group CEO with effect from 1 October 2010. Walker will remain with Sage until 1 December 2010.
Berruyer has thirteen year career with Sage and has led the successful growth of its business in Europe and, more recently, in Asia. He has a strong track record of profit growth, both organically and through the successful acquisition and integration of companies, the group said.
Sage supplies of business management software and related products and services, principally for small to medium-sized enterprises. Sage has 13,100 employees worldwide and operates in over 24 countries covering the UK, Europe, North America, South Africa, Australia, India and China.
