Dreams partners with Golden State Warriors to relaunch online fan shop

Licensed sports product retailer Dreams (AMEX:DRJ) said Thursday it has partnered with Oakland, California's Golden State Warriors to re-launch the team's updated online store, www.warriorsteamstore.com.

The deal marks Dreams' fourth alliance with an NBA team following partnerships with the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Bobcats earlier this year, as well as the Washington Wizards in 2009.

Dreams' e-commerce division, which includes FansEdge.com and other websites, has been an increasing focus for the firm.  The division manages over 65 online fan shops, selling licensed sports merchandise from the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, and NCAA.

The Florida-based company's recent growth is also reflective of its web syndication platform, a market which it entered in late 2008 by rolling out "Dreams Retail Solution", a host of e-commerce support services including custom site design, inventory, management and marketing.  Clients of the new platform currently include Walmart, JC Penney and Sears, as well as NBC Sports and AOL Sports, and the list is set to expand even further.

"This new online shop provides Golden State Warriors fans a greater range of gear and trend-specific merchandise through our proprietary and customizable e-commerce technology,” said president of Dreams' retail division, Kevin Bates.

"This technology, which is supported by our ongoing marketing expertise and superior customer service, delivers an unbeatable fan website for marketing partners like the Warriors."

The re-designed site, which is expected to boost sales substantially, provides Warriors fans an array of products and sports memorabilia, including apparel, headwear, gifts, novelties, home décor and collectibles.

Director of merchandise and retail operations for Golden State, Steven Mendoza, commented on the partnerhsip: "Dreams quickly and effectively delivered a virtual turn-key website that dramatically expanded our merchandise offerings, along with a quality re-design and new ways to engage our site visitors."
