International Stem Cell to present at HBA Gobal Expo

California-based International Stem Cell Corp. (OTC:ISCO) reported on Monday that chairman Kenneth Aldrich and president and CEO of its subsidiary, Lifeline Skin Care, Ruslan Semechkin, plan to speak about advances in stem cell technology at the HBA Global Exposition.
The event, which is to be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Centre in New York City, will take place from June 28 to 30. The annual conference attracts 15,000 beauty industry professionals and is one of the largest events in the cosmetics and personal care industry, the company said in a statement.
Aldrich will take part in the executive leadership panel, titled "Generating the Future in the Skin Anti-Aging Category" on Tuesday, June 28 at 1:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Semechkin plans to discuss emerging technologies in skincare at the expo’s anti-aging symposium on Wednesday, June 29, at 1:30 p.m.
International Stem Cell is a biotechnology company with a focus on therapeutic applications of human parthenogentic stem cells and the development and commercialization of cell-based research and cosmetic products. It has developed a method to derive stem cells similar to embryonic stem cells, without the need for fertilized eggs.
The company's subsidiary, Lifeline Skin Care, produces cosmetic skin care products derived from stem cells, using International Stem Cell's technology. Lifeline launched its first cosmetic products in November last year, a defensive day moisture serum, and a recovery night moisture serum.
