ABM Resources: Twin Bonanza project impresses with 435m at 0.69g/t gold intersection

ABM Resources (ASX: ABU) continues to deliver to the market a string of impressive gold intersections from the 1.67 million gold ounce Buccaneer Porphyry Deposit, which is hosted within the Twin Bonanza Gold Camp Project.

The project which spans the highly prospective “Trans Tanami Structure” near the Western Australia – Northern Territory border has bulk tonnage potential, with the structure hosting numerous gold deposits including Newmont Mining’s (NYSE: NEM) multi-million ounce Callie Gold Mine.

A diamond hole with a reverse circulation pre-collar (BCRD100005) which is testing for extensions intersected 435 metres at 0.69 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, with a second hole delivering 174 metres at 0.97g/t gold.

Darren Holden, managing director, said that the latest extensional results continue to impress.

"Hole BCRD100005 was designed to test mineralisation associated with the south western contact of the porphyry body and returned some of the best drill intersections reported so far from this large bulk tonnage system."

Additional new gold intersections

Highlighting just how extensive the discovery of gold mineralisation by ABM Resources is, additional results include 146 metres at 0.35g/t gold, including 10 metres at 2.14g/t gold - which was from a zone the main Buccaneer Porphyry deposit which had not previously been tested.

Other results from reverse circulation include 16 metres at 0.61g/t gold and metres at 0.34g/t gold.

Gold intersections keep on coming

These latest gold intersections follow hot on the heels from discoveries at the Caribbean and Cypress Zones earlier in the week.

The Cypress Zone delivered 87 metres at 1.13g/t gold from 196 metres, including 29 metres at 2.45g/t gold, and 8 metres at 7.43g/t gold, with the Caribbean Zone 22 metres at 3.95g/t gold, including 12 metres at 5.98g/t gold.

Investors will also be well aware of the stunning results recently from the Old Pirate prospect, with three phases combined equalling a combined total strike length of 582 metres and a weighted average of 23.98g/t gold.

Old Pirate is just two kilometres south of the Buccaneer Porphyry.
