RESAAS to power Chicago realtor convention

RESAAS Services Inc. (CNSX:RSS) added another feather to its cap Wednesday, with the news that the Vancouver-based social network for real estate professionals has been chosen to socially power the upcoming convention of the Illinois Association of Realtors in Chicago this fall.
The gathering, the IAR Fall Conference, routinely draws an audience of over 1200 realtors. The Illinois Association of Realtors represents 41,000 realtors statewide, making it one of the largest trade associations in the state of Illinois.
“The IAR Fall Conference and Expo is an opportunity for us to educate our members,” said President-elect of the Illinois Association of Realtors, Phil Chiles.
“We empower our attendees by equipping them with the latest in marketing and business technologies, and with the use of the RESAAS network we believe we will be providing a complete package to the realtors.”
As part of RESAAS’ work on the event, all IAR members, event exhibitors, sponsors and speakers will be networked together and invited to join the IAR group on the social network RESAASis creating specifically for the convention.
The conference draws some big industry names including CEO and President of Social NetworX, John Reyes; noted real estate economist, John Tuccillo; Director of Digital Engagement at the National Association of Realtors, Nobu Hata; and CEO of the North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors, Steve Volkodav.
"RESAAS is honored to be working with the IAR Conference organizers and participants," said CMO of RESAAS, Michael St. Hilaire.
"It promises to be a fantastic event, and having RESAAS there to provide a fully connected experience for attendees will make it even better."
This is not the first high-profile industry affair RESAAS was chosen to lend its social networking expertise to – as recently as June the  company was picked to power Inman News' Real Estate Connect conference in San Francisco, news that was announced less than a week after RESAAS was chosen to power the summit hosted by the Asian Real Estate Association (AREAA) of America in Vancouver in July.
The platform, designed to allow real-time updating of property listings as well as the ability to sync with social media sites such asFacebook (NASDAQ:FB) and Twitter, has already taken off in North America, where RESAAS  has added a broker several times a month across Canada and the U.S. since opening for business at the start of the year.
RESAA, a real estate social network designed specifically for the real estate professional to connect and communicate in real-time allows for seamless real-time communication between real estate professionals on the go -- including for photos to be shared, news to be posted, and realtors to connect with other with real estate professionals on the RESAAS platform. The app automatically generates real estate workflow into social content known as ‘real estate broadcasts’ that is then instantly pushed out to the RESAASplatform and other social networks.
Shares of RESAAS  closed Tuesday at $0.90 on the Canadian National Stock Exchange.
