International Stem Cell appoints marketing executive for Lifeline Skin Care subsidiary

California-based International Stem Cell Corp (OTC:ISCOE), a biotechnology company with a focus on therapeutic and biomedical research and cosmetic products, said on Thursday that Donna Queen has joined its executive team.
In her new role, Queen will be responsible for the brand identity and international marketing of the company's subsidiary, Lifeline Skin Care, as well as broadening the range of Lifeline products presently available.
Queen founded and led one of Virginia’s largest advertising and marketing agencies specializing in aesthetic and dermatological marketing and brand development. She was also the president and CEO of Zo Skin Health.
President and CEO of International Stem Cell Corp, Andrey Semechkin, said: "Ms. Queen's industry experience and expertise particularly in marketing prescription-based products will be invaluable as we expand our skin care business and further enhance our line of products."
The California-based company posted sales of about $1.1 million from the direct-to-consumer launch of Lifeline’s first two products: an anti-aging day serum and a night serum. Both serums contain extracts derived from International Stem Cell's proprietary human parthenogenetic stem cells, which are created through unfertilized eggs, combined with antioxidants and plant-derived ingredients.
