NQ reports best silver grades yet at Ag1 Zone on Carheil project

NQ Exploration (CVE:NQE) announced Monday the best grade yet associated with the Ag1 Zone at its Carheil silver project in Quebec.

Today, the company reported the results of the last two drill holes from the winter exploration program at the property, which show that the Ag1 Zone is still present near surface, at a vertical depth of 110 metres.

NQ said the best grade yet at the zone was obtained in one of the two holes announced today, hole CA2011-17, with grades of 603 grams per tonne of silver, 7.24% copper, and 1.27% zinc over 0.2 metres, including 237 g/t silver, 4.01% copper, 0.33% zinc and 0.11 g/t gold over 0.35 metres.

Also in the Ag1 Zone, other notable intercepts in the same hole included 82.3 g/t silver, 0.73% copper, 1.51% zinc, and 0.18 g/t gold over 2.7 metres.

Meanwhile, hole CA2011-16 intercepted 23.0 g/t silver, 0.32% zinc and 0.16 g/t gold over 1.5 metre in the Ag1 Zone, including 27.0 g/t silver and 8.57% zinc over 0.2 metres, and 38/0 g/t silver,1.48% zinc and 0.82 g/t gold over 0.95 metres.

According to the company, hole CA2011-17, which is the nearest-surface hole drilled by NQ to date, suggests that the silver, copper and zinc are more closely related than in the deeper holes.

NQ plans to drill an additional series of shallow holes to better its understanding of the high grade zones at the site, and to assess their economic potential.

The company has a portfolio of 10 base and precious metal mining properties in the James Bay and Abitibi regions of Quebec.
