Mixed martial arts apparel firm Respect Your Universe (OTC:RYUN)
announced Monday that it has signed a lease for the company’s first
retail location, at The Shoppes at the Palazzo in Las Vegas.
The Respect Your Universe flagship store will be located in the famous Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino, and is set to open in late September of this year.
The store will be situated between Michael Kors and Seven for All
Mankind, and design is currently in progress by acclaimed architects,
Skylab Architecture, the company said in a statement.
The Men's 2012 Fall Collection and the new Women's 2012 Fall Line is
set to be released in July, with the retail location to carry 120 styles
from both these lines, including apparel and accessories.
"Las Vegas and The Shoppes at the Palazzo are a perfect fit for our
first retail store,” said the company’s CEO, Christopher Martens.
"We intend to offer a premium shopping experience that serves as a
true extension to brand. A modern space that will reflect the premium
quality, performance, sustainability, craftsmanship and design of our
apparel and products."
The company recently announced that it sponsored two Brazilian
athletes at UFC 148, which it described as 'one of the biggest UFC fight
cards of the year.'
Respect Your Universe
sponsored lightweight Gleison Tibau who fought Khabib Nurmagomedov at
the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas last Saturday night. The firm
also sponsored Tibau’s fellow lightweight Rafaello Oliveira in his fight
against Yoislandy Izquierdo.
Along with the sponsored fighters, the company said its brand would
be visible in various elements throughout the Pay-Per-View coverage and
on-site at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
It had advertising across in-venue commercials during the event, as well as on the UFC website on the day after the event.
The company is an official sponsor of the UFC and will be visible in
various elements throughout the UFC events in 2012, including logo
displays and live announcements.
The company has an innovative line of apparel and products that
include fabrics and technologies that boast the attributes of Moisture
Control Fabric (AIR Weave), Thermal Control Fabric (FIRE Weave), Weather
Resistant Fabric (WIND Weave) and Eco-Friendly Fabric (TERRA Weave).
