i-design Group says making progress as first half revenues rise 46 pct

ATM advertising specialist i-design Group PLC (AIM: IDG) said it continues to make progress as it reported a 46 percent rise in first half revenue to £1.38 million.

Chairman James Faulds commented: “While results in the near term will be affected by the current banking environment, the increase in advertising revenues is very encouraging and we remain positive about i-design's long term growth prospects.”

The group widened its pretax profit in the six months to March 31 2009 to £368,000 from £291,000 a year earlier. The recruitment of additional sales staff in the second half of the financial year to end-September 2008 increased the company’s cost base.

“We continue to monitor the cost base closely and the group's cash position is healthy with negligible borrowings. The resources are in place to facilitate sustainable growth as the banking sector recovers,” i-Design added.
