Martial arts apparel firm Respect Your Universe (OTCBB:RYUN) told investors that it has teamed up with Co-Operations Inc, which will handle the group’s inventory management distribution requirements.
Co-Operations Inc has product warehouse and order fulfilment facilities in Portland and Atlanta. It will provide RYU with a number of services including distribution and shipping, inventory management, order processing systems and on-line reporting.
RYU chief operating officer Erick Siffert said: “This is an important step in the building of our brand infrastructure and will help to service both our retail customers and consumers who should demand world class customer service from a premium brand such as Respect Your Universe.
"With Co-Operations providing us their logistical expertise, we don't have to worry about running a warehouse, procuring orders or hosting our online web-store. This allows us to focus on developing our products and serving our customers to the best of our ability."
Chief executive Christopher Martens added: "As one of the nation's leading cities in the athletic sportswear industry, Portland is home to many global, national and regional athletic and fashion apparel and footwear brands which has led to the creation of many world class businesses that can support this industry."
The Las Vegas-headquartered company, which was founded in 2008, last month announced the introduction of its new high performance apparel line and the beginning of "The Age of RYU". It also now has several pre-launch items on sale at its online web store, including graphic t-shirts and headwear beanies.
