Integra Mining receives Majestic gold intercepts include 40.8m at 3.46g/t

Integra Mining (ASX: IGR) has returned some broad and high grade gold intersections from the Majestic gold deposit from an ongoing campaign to support the Mineral Resources to Ore Reserves conversion.

The Majestic gold deposit has a preliminary Ore Reserve of 1.36 million tonnes at 2.23 grams per tonne (g/t) gold for 98,000 ounces.

Recent results from drilling include:

- 40.8 metres at 3.46 g/t gold from 65.2 metres;
- 10.12 metres at 9.65g/t gold from 114.68 metres, including 0.6 metres at 143.37g/t gold; and
- 10 metres at 9.52g/t gold from 30 metres.

Majestic is part of the Monger Joint Venture between Integra, which holds an 85% share, and Newcrest Operations with 15%.

The prospect is located 22 kilometres north of the Randalls gold processing facility, where Integra has been producing gold from the Salt Creek open pit operation since late September 2010.

Re-sampling of previous metre sampled diamond holes confirmed the major host for mineralisation is chalcopyrite-rich veining, which could be associated with silica-albite alteration zones.

Metallurgical test work to date indicates the chalcopyrite in the area is not expected to have a detrimental impact on processing Majestic ore through the Salt Creek processing facility.

Possible Resource extensions

In addition to drilling to firm up an Ore Reserve at Majestic, Integra is focused on extending the Mineral Resource.

Majestic currently has a defined strike length of 400 metres, not including the recently discovered Imperial zone where first-pass reverse circulation drilling returned assays including 19 metres at 4.39g/t gold earlier this month.

Two geotechnical holes drilled as part of the current program toward the south and west have returned significant intercepts, including:

- 23.3 metres at 8.56g/t gold, including 1.8 metres at 49.46g/t gold; and
- 24.62 metres at 3.94g/t gold, including 1.82 metres at 19.74g/t gold.

Meanwhile, a diamond drill program to test for Majestic Deeps has been planned, with drilling expected to begin in early 2012.

Mineralisation at Majestic is associated with a series of steeply dipping structures that host tonalitic porphyry dykes.

Integra had more than $28 million cash at the end of the September quarter.
