Digital Shelf Space Corp. (CVE:DSS)
(OTCQX:DTSRF) launched today the TOURAcademy Home Edition, the home
entertainment media company's golf instruction DVD series.
The DVD series is hosted by Ian Baker-Finch, the 1991 British Open Champion and current CBS Sports golf analyst.
The product is now available for pre-order online at - www.touracademydvds.com - with order fulfillment in September.
The company said the "player-tested and player-proven" golf program is
packaged in a 10 DVD boxed-set that comes with a contact bag, alignment
sticks and a full set of printed golf materials that will include a
complete 8-week practice guide, practice calendar and companion
instruction manual.
The home instructional series is taught by
Travis Fulton, director of instruction for the TOURAcademy, John
Stahlschmidt, TPC Scottsdale head instructor and regional director for
the TOURAcademy, and golf professional and two-time Big Break competitor
Christina Lecuyer.
The TOURAcademy Home Edition was filmed
entirely on location at TPC Sawgrass, the home of THE PLAYERS
Championship, which is located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
"It was terrific watching The TOURAcademy Home Edition come together," said Digital Shelf Space's senior VP of production and business development, David Bogart.
"This project has become an important part of Digital Shelf Space's product development strategy and we're very pleased with the finished product.
"The combined expertise of the TOURAcademy Instructors and the
knowledge of Mr. Baker-Finch was impressive on every level and
reinforced my confidence that we have been able to bring the TOURAcademy
experience to golfers at home."
The golf improvement program
sees players of all skill levels take nine lessons at home, and then hit
the range where they follow an 8-week step-by-step practice plan to
master their full swing and learn "stroke-saving" short game techniques.
THE TOURAcademy DVD series was produced by Digital Shelf Space in association with PGA TOUR Entertainment.
The undertaking by Digital Shelf Space
follows the company's successful launch of GSP RUSHFIT, a home workout
mixed martial arts inspired DVD series, which has exploded in popularity
recently and beat out two top sports instruction brands in its path.
CEO Jeff Sharpe told Proactive Investors in a recent interview that
plans are going "extremely well" with GSP RUSHFIT, which features Mixed
Martial Arts welterweight world champion Georges St-Pierre.
Indeed, even with St-Pierre out of the media since last year due to a major injury, the fitness DVDs reached the No. 1 spot on Amazon.com’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) exercise and fitness top rated product list in June. The product has only been listed on the site for six months now.
In terms of customer ratings, the company's GSP RUSHFIT product
pulled ahead of Beachbody’s P90x and INSANITY and Zumba, who took in
second through fourth place in the exercise and fitness category.
The GSP RUSHFIT DVD series was launched in just December of 2010, and
can be purchased directly through the GSP RUSHFIT website (www.gsprushfit.com) as well as Amazon.com and through other affiliate sites, and in a number of retail stores across the world.
