Breakaway Resources reports new gold mineralisation at Chameleon Prospect

Breakaway Resources (ASX: BRW) has reported that Aphrodite Gold (ASX: AQQ), its Scotia Project Gold Rights Joint Venture partner, has identified significant gold mineralisation from maiden drilling at the Chameleon Prospect.

The mineralisation is over 600 metres strike length to a vertical depth of about 200 metres.

Results have now been received for all holes of the maiden 16 hole reverse circulation drilling program (3,170 metres).

A further intercept of 6 metres at 4.48 grams per tonne (g/t) gold was made from 92 metres in hole CHR0016.

This follows other significant intercepts previously reported including:

- 12 metres at 10.99g/t gold from 66 metres in CHR001;
- 11 metres at 2.05g/t gold from 129 metres in CHR002; and
- 8 metres at 1.51g/t gold from 227 metres in CHR009.

Chameleon lies within the Scotia Project, located approximately 70 kilometres northwest of Kalgoorlie in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.

At Scotia, Aphrodite can earn an 80% interest in the Gold Rights by spending $1.5 million over a period of up to 4 years.
