International Stem Cell Corp (OTC:ISCO) on Tuesday said chairman Kenneth Aldrich will be among those presenting at the 2011 Southern California investor conference.
The biotechnology company said the conference will be held on Monday, August 29, at 1:30 p.m. Pacific time, or 4:30 p.m. Eastern time.
The conference is set to take place at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, California.
The annual one-day conference plans to feature more than 35 companies from the region, presenting to attendees from across the nation. It is open to the public and investors can find a list of the companies and registration information atwww.CaliforniaStocks.com.
International Stem Cell Corp. is a biotechnology company with a focus on the therapeutic applications of human parthenogentic stem cells, and the development and commercialization of cell-based research and cosmetic products.
The company has developed a method to derive stem cells similar to embryonic stem cells without the need for fertilized eggs.
The Carlsbad, California-based company’s shares shot up 40 cents, or 4.26%, to $0.98 Tuesday on the OTC markets.
