Redhill Resources Corp (CVE:RHR) announced Wednesday that previously defined mineralization at the Deflector gold deposit, part of its Gullewa project in Australia, has been expanded.
Results from Mutiny Gold (ASX:MYG), the operator and optionee of Redhill's Gullewa copper-gold project, returned several high grade intersects that extend the known Deflector deposit 160 metres north.
Assays from the Western Lode included seven metres grading 12.8 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 1.1% copper in hole 11DRC078; and three metres grading 5.7 g/t gold and 1.9% copper from hole 11DRC079.
These results, from the final 15 holes of Mutiny's recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling program on extension of the Deflector deposit, will be incorporated in Redhill`s revised resource estimate, which is slated for completion in the coming months.
Other notable results included two metres at 10.7 g/t gold in hole 11DRC080; four metres at 5.3 g/t gold and 0.9% copper in hole 11DRC081; and 37.5 g/t gold and 7.8% copper over six metres in hole 11DRC083.
The current resource estimate at the Deflector zone has 1.7 million tonnes for 369,000 ounces of gold equivalent in the measured and indicated category, and 1.6 million tonnes for 400,000 ounces of gold equivalent in the inferred category.
The Vancouver, B.C.-based company also announced results from 16 reverse circulation drill holes at the Spanish Galleon prospect at Gullewa, which include four metres at 3.3 g/t gold and 0.3% copper, and 29 metres grading 0.9 g/t gold and 0.6% copper.
The Gullewa property is located 450 kilometres north of Perth in the Yalgoo mineral fields of Western Australia, and covers 550 square kilometres.
