Lithium explorer Rock Tech Lithium (CVE:RCK) reported Wednesday it has appointed both Dirk Harbecke and Victor Goncalves to its board of directors.
Harbecke, who is CEO for financial services holding company African Development Corp, has experience in the financial services, information and communication technology industries.
In his role as independent director, Harbecke, who has led projects in China, Europe, the Middle Ease, Africa and the US, will provide guidance in corporate finance, governance, business affairs, business development, as well as strategic planning.
Goncalves is the founder and director of the newsletter "The Equities and Economics Report" and contributes to other publications like Barron’s Magazine, Resource and Kitco Magazines, among other internet newsletters.
Goncalves, who is also the president and CEO of exploration company Threegold Resources, has an economic background honed through nearly 10 years of market analysis and consulting for many investment funds.
As director, he will provide guidance and support in the areas of public affairs and relations, corporate financing, strategic planning and business development.
Moreover, at the company’s annual general meeting, Geoffrey Carter did not seek re-appointment as director, Rock Tech said.
However, Carter will continue to be active with Rock Tech as a member of its technical advisory board, specifically with regards to the Georgia Lake lithium project, as the property advances toward the next stage of development.
