YTC Resources' very high copper grades continue at Nymagee

YTC Resources (ASX: YTC) is continuing on a roll with more high grade results from the ongoing drilling program at the 90% owned Nymagee Copper Deposit in the Cobar Basin, New South Wales.

Results from a further eight shallow reverse circulation holes and two diamond drill holes show the lead-zinc-silver lens was intersected, as well as strong intersections in the shallow copper zone that affirm significant tonnages of copper mineralisation at a grade and depth that is amenable to open pit mining.

The lead-zinc-silver lens is located 10-15 metres west of the Nymagee Main Lens and results from hole MD052 confirm spectacular grades in the lens at this location including:

- 13 metres at 0.6% copper, 10.9% lead, 20.9% zinc and 108 grams per tonne (g/t) silver from 180 metres;
- 2.9 metres at 0.6% copper, 6.1% lead 12.8% zinc and 39 g/t silver from 199.6 metres; and
- 15 metres at 0.5% copper, 1.5% lead, 3.8% zinc and 18 g/t silver from 211 metres.

Results from the shallow copper zone at Nymagee include:

- 4 metres at 3.6% copper and 26g/t silver from 54 metres (NMRC067);
- 14 metres at 2.1% copper from 139 metres to EOH (NMRC069);
- 122 metres at 0.5% copper from 0 metres (entire hole), includes 21 metres at 1.2% copper from 76 metres, and 5 metres at 2.5% copper from 117 metres to EOH (NMRC067); and
- 45 metres at 0.9% copper from 74 metres to EOH (NMRC071).

Rimas Kairaitis, YTC's CEO, said “these results confirm not only spectacular grades within the lead-zinc-silver lens, but also that selective high-grade mining prior to 1917 has left substantial widths of high grade copper mineralisation which will make a substantial contribution to the upcoming Nymagee Resource Estimate."

The company said results from holes NMRC069, NMRC070 and NMRC071 are of particular interest as each confirm significant thicknesses of high grade copper mineralisation left in place on the eastern side of historical mine stopes.

Highlighting the prospectivity of the project, the Nymagee Copper Mine which last operated in 1918, has recorded historical production of 422,000 tonnes at 5.8% copper.
