International Stem Cell to present at LD MICRO Growth Conference in California

International Stem Cell Corporation (OTCBB:ISCO) said Thursday that co-Chairman Ken Aldrich and its president and COO Kurt May will be presenting at the 4th Annual LD MICRO Growth Conference in Los Angeles on December 8, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
The conference is being held at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel.
LD Micro founder, Chris Lahiji, stated: "We are excited to host over 100 companies for the first time in our history. What makes us especially proud, however, are all the interesting companies from our own backyard in Southern California, such as International Stem Cell, that are presenting this year."
International Stem Cell is focused on the therapeutic applications of human parthenogenetic stem cells (hpSCs) and the development of cell-based research and cosmetic products.
The company's core technology, parthenogenesis, results in the creation of pluripotent human stem cells from unfertilized eggs, avoiding the ethical issues associated with thedestruction of viable human embryos.
ISCO also produces and markets specialized cells and growth media for therapeutic research through its subsidiary Lifeline Cell Technology, and cell-based skin care products through its subsidiary Lifeline Skin Care.
