Ventnor Resources shares jump nearly 12%, ASX issues speeding ticket

Ventnor Resources (ASX: VRX) has received a price and volume query from the ASX over an 11.9% increase in its share price to a high of A$0.99 today, up from $0.885 yesterday.

The company responded to the ASX saying it is not aware of any material information that has not been disclosed to the market, which may explain the sudden investor interest.

Ventnor has been busy unlocking the potential of the strategically located Thaduna and Green Dragon Copper Project in the Doolgunna district of Western Australia, with new results extending the strike.

The company revealed last week the latest highlight intersections of a phase three reverse circulation drilling program designed to determine a JORC Resource to a nominal 200 metres vertical depth by extending known mineralisation at both the Thaduna and Green Dragon prospects.

One drill hole showed visible chalcopyrite/chalcocite for 11 metres from 134 metres, and discrete zones of chalcopyrite/chalcocite intervals ranging from 1 metre to 13 metres wide from 150 metres to 219 metres, and terminating with visible chalcopyrite.

At Thaduna, primary mineralisation has now been intersected over a 720 metre strike, with intersections continuing to be below the predicted footwall contact.
