Snipp's mobile marketing services to be used by EcoTraction

Mobile marketing services firm Snipp Interactive (CVE:SPN) Thursday said that Earth Innovations Inc. will adopt its mobile solutions for the company's EcoTraction product - an eco-friendly alternative to toxic road salt.
Snipp's "Mobilize Me" platform now includes three mobile specific solutions - response, infrastructure and validation - which collectively allow brands to interact with their customers through mobile across the entire purchase lifecycle.
Earth Innovations said it will adopt Snipp's response & infrastructure solutions for all of its EcoTraction product packaging sold through retail outlets in North America.
"Like EcoTraction, our customers are unique and concerned about the damage caused by toxic road salt,” said Earth Innovations CEO Mark Watson.
“With Snipp Response, we can better understand our customers and grow our business accordingly."
Earth Innovations said the current program leverages the EcoTraction product packaging to call attention to its mobile resources with targeted messaging, product information, and other winter tips in a mobile friendly website that customers can access in-store with their mobile phones using text messaging and/or scanning a QR code.
The two companies plan on working together to allow Earth Innovations to use the customer information in order to build an integrated marketing database, which the company can use for future targeted marketing programs, incorporating Snipp's infrastructure solution to provide targeted local weather alerts and proximity based coupon solutions.
The company also plans on working with Snipp to create a loyalty offering.
"It is very rewarding to work with Earth Innovations, which is a company aggressively exploring how mobile technology can enhance and transform traditional off-line marketing and underutilized channels such as product packaging,” said Snipp CEO Atul Sabharwal.
“The ability to build an integrated database to capture customer information and then target market to them opens up numerous opportunities to improve the [return on investment] ROI for a brands marketing spend."
Snipp provides print publishers, advertising agencies and corporate/consumer brands with a full suite of mobile marketing services in North America.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C. and established in 2007, the company has provided its services to several Fortune 500 companies and other major brands, advertising agencies and publishers, including Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT), ESPN, Time Inc, Ford (NYSE:F), Nike (NYSE:NKE), Wendy's (NASDAQ:WEN) and Campbell Soup (NYSE:CPB).
