RESAAS promotes Rossiter to president as growth continues

RESAAS Services (CNSX:RSS) says it has promoted its director and chief technology officer, Tom Rossiter, to the position of president as the real estate social networking company continues to expand its operations.
"As one of the original RESAAS team members, Tom has been an integral part of the company and has excelled in his previous position as VP of Engineering to his current positions as a Director of the Company and Chief Technology Officer," said president and CEO Cory Brandolini in a statement late Wednesday.
"RESAAS is at a very exciting time in its evolution as we have recently moved from closed beta to full commercialization."
Indeed, the company is moving at a rapid pace. It has added seven real estate agencies, located both in the U.S. and Canada, to its social network so far this year.
The latest one came earlier this week, as it signed on Montreal-based real estate firm Profusion Realty, which is focused on the high end real estate market in the city.
RESAAS Services is a social network for real estate professionals, mortgage specialists, home buyers and sellers. The network is designed to enable real-time updating of property listings as well as the ability to sync with social media sites such as Facebook(NASDAQ:FB) and Twitter.
Real-time updates are one aspect of what sets RESAAS part from sites such as the Canadian Real Estate Association's Multiple Listing Service (MLS) website, where it can take a number of days for new listings to appear.
"Our platform, services and customer base are growing at a rapid pace, so having the ability to expand our executive team from within the RESAAS family to meet the demand, growth and expansion is ideal from a corporate prospective," continued Brandolini.
In addition to his new role as president, Rossiter will continue to hold the positions of director and chief tech officer.
"I will continue to work alongside our CEO on strategic growth, including expansion and overseas opportunities, as well as work closely with the engineering and sales teams within RESAAS," added Rossiter.
