Mandalay Resources resumes operations at Cerro Bayo after fatality

Mandalay Resources (TSE:MND) says that production has resumed at its Cerro Bayo underground silver-gold mine in Aysen, Chile, after a fatal accident reported earlier this week.
Mining operations returned to normal, the company told investors Friday, at the Dagny and Delia northwest mines on Thursday, with mineral processing to resume today.
Production from the Fabiola mine remains suspended while investigations into the death of the employee are being completed by both the government and Mandalay.
The Canadian-based natural resource company has producing assets in Australia and producing and exploration projects in  Chile. Shares of Mandalay moved up by 2 pennies on the news this morning, to 80 cents.
