NQ Exploration intersects 210 g/t silver over 9 metres at Carheil

NQ Exploration (CVE:NQE) announced Wednesday it intersected 210 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over nine metres at its wholly owned Carheil property in the Abitibi region of Quebec.
The results hail from the company's ongoing summer drill program, which completed 4,700 metres over 15 drill holes to date. The holes are testing the silver-bearing Ag1 zone at vertical depths between 50 and 500 metres.
The most notable results come from hole CA2011-021, which was drilled to a vertical depth of 295 metres, and intersected 36 metres grading 0.34% zinc, and 85.3 g/t silver, including nine metres grading 0.8% zinc and 210 g/t silver.
The zinc grade in the following 75 metres of the hole is high, the company said, at 0.57% zinc, with an enrichment zone of 1.46% zinc and 19 g/t silver over 4.5 metres.
As in Hole CA2011-018 released in August, a copper zone was also intercepted, returning 1.79% copper 0.11% zinc and 15.2 g/t silver over three metres. In the summer, hole CA2011-018 in the Ag1 zone returned 2.05% copper over three metres.
NQ also reported today results for hole CA2011-019, which intersected 7.5 metres at 0.28% zinc and 27.3 g/t silver, and six metres grading 0.79% zinc and 19.5 g/t silver. However, NQ said it believes that, based on these results, hole CA2011-019 represents only a localized area of weakness in the zone.
The Carheil property lies north of the Abitibi region in eastern Quebec, and consists of 121 claims covering 35.1 square kilometres. NQ's 20,000-metre summer drill program is continuing, with the aim of boosting the open pit potential at the site.
